Guillermo M. Martinez
Biography
Guillermo M. Martinez joined the firm as an associate attorney in May 2024 upon admission to the Nebraska State Bar. Guillermo’s practice areas include business and commercial litigation, construction litigation, and contract litigation. Guillermo already has experience making court appearances and handling hearings in the state and federal courts of Nebraska, including second chairing civil trials as an associate attorney and law clerk.
Guillermo graduated with honors from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi in 2019. Following a gap year, Guillermo enrolled at Creighton University School of Law where he was in the Creighton Scholars Program. Guillermo graduated Cum Lade from Creighton University in December 2023. Guillermo received the CALI Excellence for Future Awards, given to the student who achieved the highest grade in a course, in Contacts II, Criminal Law, and White-Collar Crimes. Guillermo’s emphasis in law school centered around complex business transactions and the responsibilities of the directors and officers of corporations, his coursework included: Securities Regulations, Mergers and Acquisitions, Bankruptcy, and White-Collar Crimes.
At Creighton, Guillermo was on the executive board of the Latino Law Student Association. Guillermo has continued his work focusing on the growth of Latinos/Hispanics in the legal profession; Guillermo is currently the President, and one of the incorporators, of the recently organized Nebraska Hispanic Bar Association. Outside of the office, you can find Guillermo watching sports or coaching youth basketball.
