Biography

Robert Sherrets has extensive experience in litigating complex commercial disputes. Although many attorneys have experience merely as litigators working toward a settlement, Robert has significant trial experience and has tried cases to juries, trial judges, and to arbitrators receiving multiple verdicts exceeding a million dollars. Robert has litigated in State and Federal courts and before arbitrators throughout the country. He has frequently taught seminars on various aspects of litigating a case, including advanced trial tactics, the rules of evidence, effective cross examination strategies. Robert is a results-driven attorney with a track record of zealously advocating for his clients.

Experience:

  • Obtained an arbitration award in excess of $30 million.
  • Obtained an injunction against an international entity in Federal Court.
  • Served on a task force to rewrite Omaha Municipal Code following a Federal lawsuit over deficiencies in the existing code
  • Obtained a defense verdict in a multimillion-dollar ERISA suit in federal court, as well as an award of attorney’s fees and costs
  • Received multiple million-dollar awards through jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and settlements
